Pumpkin Carving

Pumpkin carving is always interesting, and this year was extra special since Jack is new to the whole carving experience. We waited until the night before Halloween to carve, as usual. Our time management is not always that great. Since we don't subscribe to the local paper we had to scrounge through the recycle bin to find enough paper to cover the table. Plus we tried to time it so Jack was in a good mood (that means he's been feed and its not close to naptime). Pretty much that meant we put it off until the last possible minute. Still we had a lot of fun. Below is the 'before' picture. Kevin's is the oblong one, Cassie's is in the middle, and Jack's is the little one on the left.

As usual Jack wanted to not only touch and feel, but taste his way through the process.

He 'assisted' mom with scooping out guts.

After feeling them once he wasn't much in to touching the guts again....they were cold and slimy feeling.

Still, Jack liked his first Jack-o-lantern

This is the 'after' picture. I've got one with candles in them but it's still on the camera so you'll have to be patient.
