Tricia & Ian's Wedding

(Author's Note: I have more pictures to add to this post but my computer, and maybe my brain, is being stupid so I'll leave it like this for now.)

Our first wedding of the year this year came early. On January 23rd, Kevin's cousin Tricia and fiance' Ian tied the knot at the Mountain Springs Lodge in Plain, Washington (about 13 miles NW of Leavenworth).

Kevin, Julie, and I went up the day before the wedding to help arrange flowers. Well Julie and I helped, Kevin lasted long enough to unload Aunt Jan's car then disappeared to go on a 'beverage' run with Uncle Ken. Anyway, flower arrangement isn't something I've had much experience doing. It was an experience to be sure, but I won't be opening my own flower shop anytime soon.

Jack spent Friday night with Grandma and Grandpa Duchow...his first overnight away from Mom and Dad. I of course, worried about him the whole time. He had a blast with the grandparents and great-grandparent and barely noticed we were gone. There was a little girl about his age at the rehearsal dinner and ever time she fussed I'd automatically start looking to see what trouble Jack was getting into. He wasn't there of course, but it is hard to turn off 'Mommy Instinct.'

The wedding itself was gorgeous, the food was good, and everyone had a good time. Jack thoroughly enjoyed the cake, as usual. There was even some pretty good dancing. In all it was a wonderful weekend.
