In Lieu of a Fall Recital this year, Emilie’s dance class held a parents night instead. The kids showed what they have been learning, along with a dance they made up themselves. While I missed the recital it was nice to get some time to talk to her teacher and the dance school owner about what the kids are doing and what teaching methods they use. The kids didn’t seem to mind either. They just love to dance…and showing off for your parents is no different in the studio than it is on the stage. Emilie loves leaps, kicks, and twirling the most, but she is coming along with all the steps in between.
