Moving on Up

Author’s Note: Looking at this picture I realize that while my daughter missed the ‘red’ gene, she did inherit my hair texture and volume. Poor thing…it’s a love/hate relationship. Good thing she’s got me and my years of experience on how to manage it. Winking smile

Look what I found in Em’s cubby at preschool today. Despite being a few months shy of 4 years she is getting promoted to the Cheetah (4 year old) class. Since the start of the year there has been a glut of new children in Emilie’s class and suddenly her teacher is pushing 18-20 students. That’s a lot for one teacher to handle so they looked at all the kids and are moving several of the oldest children in the class who are also ready in the learning department. Next Monday will be her first day.

We will miss Ms. Nicole, but Ms. Bridgette is a pretty awesome teacher too. Jack had her briefly when she first started at the preschool…that must have been 3ish years ago now. She is caring and friendly and really great with the kids. Emilie is already excited to start earning stickers on her sticker chart. Stickers are earned for participation, good manners, and various other things. Once you get 20 stickers you get a special prize. Ooooo the excitement.

Another reminder that my babies are growing up. Doing the math, Kindergarten is only 18 months away for this one….can you believe that!?
