Huge congratulations for Kevin today... He got his 10-Year pin from the Forest Service! His anniversary date was November 28th, but it takes a bit to get the certificate & pin out….government paperwork and all you know.
That means at the tender age of 30 he’s already put in a decade plus with the outfit. I say plus because he started as a seasonal on the Timber Marking crew in Tonasket June 4, 2001. He was 18. However, the pin only counts his work as a ‘permanent ‘ employee which was happened in 2002 when he became a S.C.E.P intern.
Either way I think he deserves a round of applause for devoting 1/3 of his life to working for the US Forest Service!
