This weekend was the Magic Valley Airshow. That meant the Blue Angels were in town. Knowing how much the kids would enjoy taking that in we seriously considered buying tickets. However it was going to be over $60 for the four of us. Plus it was supposed to be warm and there is NO shade out at the airport so we opted to forgo the crowds, heat, and cranky kids for the comfort of our own backyard.
Besides, we’re only five miles from the airport and a good portion of the Blue Angel’s show goes right over the house. Why pay when you can enjoy for free. I’m sure we didn’t get the full experience as there were lots of other little planes and the Army Golden Knights giving demonstrations, but what we got thrilled the kids just as well. Plus, we got to relax in the kiddie pool while we were at it.
