Christmas in Idaho

Even though we didn't get 'home' for Christmas this year we still had a great time celebrating here in Twin Falls.
There was the tree of course, and yummy cinnamon rolls which are a Christmas morning tradition from my side of the family.

We cleaned up well for Christmas Eve service on Thursday night. Jack gives Dad a run for his money in the 'Most Handsome Boy' category. Plus Jack has decided that when the congregation sings he need to contribute...off-key and loudly. Wouldn't be so bad except it makes it hard to keep from laughing.
Jack still isn't really 'in' to Christmas and all that comes with it. Unwrapping presents doesn't interest him in the least...we actually had several gifts under the tree in the week leading up to Christmas and he didn't even bother them. Despite that he still had a good time playing with his presents once they were unwrapped. Below is the activity table we gave him. Good for playing with while standing and also has a nice storage compartment that is perfect for hiding Cheerios and pacifiers.

Another of his favorites was this yellow squishy ball with tentacles from his Godparents (Thanks you Christy & Justin). He loves balls, but couldn't decided if he should touch this one or not. It felt DIFFERENT! He'd grab at it and fling it behind him then spin around and repeat the process. He's decided now that its not so bad and carries it around by the tentacles.
Finally, though its not Jack's favorite gift (hats are not his thing and he won't keep one on unless you tie it down) he got a very cute frog hat from Aunt Julie. I call the below picture 'Prison Elf 1123: Wanted for crimes of cuteness.' Since he won't keep the hat on his head I made straps for it with some ribbon. Once he realizes it's not going to pull of he leaves it alone.

I hope you all had as wonderful or a more wonderful Christmas and enjoyed the time with friends and family keeping in mind the reason for the season!
MERRY CHRISTMAS
