Kevin turned 29 yesterday! We got 4” of snow yesterday then rain on top of that. It was, and still is, quite sloppy outside so it was a good thing Kevin opted for a quiet (as quiet as it gets with 2 kids anyway) dinner at home. We did our best to make a mock Tonasket Pizza Co. New Yorker pizza (Kevin’s favorite after Chico’s) followed by ice cream and cupcakes. As usual we had German Chocolate with German Chocolate frosting. I added a little something extra though by putting a chocolate marshmallow cream filling in the cupcakes.
I think Kevin was pleasantly surprised by it….Jack sure was, but he likes sugar based anything. It was also discovered that once your kids are old enough to get the whole ‘present’ thing that you no longer get to open your own gifts. At least not without a fair bit of help. I mean, Kevin’s getting up there in years…he might break a finger or something if Jack wasn’t there to help him right? Oh Well, All around it was a wonderful day and Kevin appreciated all the thoughts and well wishes from family and friends.
